I <3 Faces!

I REALLY REALLY like this picture. Louie (my kitty) posed for it perfectly! I was actually just expecting him to pop his head over the top of the white board, but he was a cutie and did his own thing!
It's summer where I live so I thought I'd do some no snow or anything of the kind is available! But I think pool pictures are just as fun. :D I at first tried taking this picture with the floating letters in the pool but that turned out to be a bad idea, since the letters wouldn't stay put! :D
I had Sophie jump out from the floatie and came out with this! :D
I hope you enjoyed these pictures. Go to Iheartfaces for more fantastic entries!

My Future "Studio"!!

This is my future "studio" room! My brother also teaches in here, so we will have to work out a time for photography, and a time for English class! fun fun.... :p So, I was thinking of putting up some hooks from the wall, and hanging my backgrounds on it. I need to move the couch over quite a bit so I can have the whole wall. :D I'm trying to collect a few baby things here and there, like you know, a cute hat, a blankie.. Just stuff that will look cute with a baby. What with ballet, music, school starting next week, and now this, I'm a pretty busy person! :D I love being busy. Here are the pics!

This is my wall! :DLove you guys!!

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass.. It's about learning to dance in the rain.
(Just thought I'd put that cool quote that I just found!)

Soooo excited!

I know, I know... This is just a lil' strange for me to post TWICE in one day. (I know, it's a little overwhelming, isn't it??) But, I wanted to anounce that I'll be starting my very own photography business, this week or the next! :) Living in Uruguay, teens aren't allowed to work official jobs, but nobody said they can't start their own businesses! :) I'm going to be working hard to get this show on the road this week. I want to start off taking pictures of babies, and maybe do a few quinces (15th birthday party~It's a BIG deal here!). I have a couple of friends who have their 15th birthday parties coming up, so maybe I'll just start there with quinces. Meanwhile, I'll be working on just little kids for now. My dad is letting me use our front living room as a studio. :D I'm so stinkin' excited. I have to work on putting extra lighting and collecting backgrounds and stuff as I go along. I found this adorable ballerina blanket which you will probably be seeing in more than one picture as the background! I am trying to raise money, so I can go on a trip next year with my best friend, Martha. We're planning on going to Europe, and I'm so excited, but it isn't going to happen, if I don't have enough money, so I gotta get working! :) By the way, does anyone have any tips on taking pictures of newborns?? If you do, please let me know in a comment!

~M.L.S.~ I love you guys! Have a great day!

My First Family Photoshoot!

My first photoshoot ever! What do you think?? I was so excited when Mrs. Borrmann asked me to do the family pictures for them. I was staying at their house for a couple of weeks, and unfortunetly didn't have my camera with me. (well, actually I did, but I had forgetten the battery! hint: NEVER leave you house on a trip without double checking that you have your camera battery!) So, I used her Nikon D60. I am officially in love with Nikon now, and will as soon as possible, buy my own! :D This shoot was a lot of fun. The one downer was that Mrs. Borrmann accidentally forgot to charge the camera, so I only had one-third of a battery to work with, so the shoot was only about 30 minutes. I worked as fast as I could. Another hint- NEVER leave for a photoshoot without your camera charged. :) The quality of the pictures may not be as good as the originals, because I had to copy them off of her account of facebook, because I was not able to download them to my pc before I had to leave. The reason it says DEB BORRMANN PHOTOS on the side of all the pictures is because she did not want any one stealing them and posting them as their own. Which I can do, because, I mean, didn't I take this pictures?!?! lol
There was a lot of squinting because in the middle of the afternoon, at a hot beach, typically there is a lot sun shining down. :p Another hint-don't do a photoshoot at a beach at 2:00 in the afternoon, when you are shooting an 8-kid family! :D (Can you tell I learned a lot of things from the shoot?) :)

I love, love, love this picture of them all walking down the beach. :)
I thought this was a fun shot. :)
This rickety old bridge looks cool in pictures, but it was kinda scary getting on it!
Little Silas was so cute!
I think this is my favorite shot of the day. :)
All the girls. Aren't they all so beautiful??

All the boys. They look pretty innocent in this picture, don't they? :DHe did his best not to squint, but he had a hard time of it, poor guy!

~M.L.S.~ Luv you guys! Have a great day!

I'm BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So sorry it took me so long to get back! Let me explain... We finally got the computer, and I was so happy! Then.... I found out that all my pictures had been erased off of it! Thankfully, I had kept all of my best and favorite pictures on the camera. So, we got the computer back, but I had to leave for camp the next morning and between packing and all that stuff, I didn't have time to upload the pictures back onto the camera. Camp was amazing! I made alot of great friends, but sadly I didn't take the camera. I now wish I had. :p Anyways, I'm glad to be back home!
This is a picture of the sunset at the plaza right in front of our church. Gorgeous, huh?
